Description

Hangman is a timeless and classic word-guessing game that has been enjoyed for generations. In its DOS version, the game brings a simple yet engaging experience where players must guess a hidden word by suggesting letters. Each incorrect guess brings the hangman closer to being "completed," and the goal is to guess the word before that happens. Here's a detailed description of the DOS version of Hangman: Game Overview: In Hangman, players are presented with a hidden word represented by blank spaces (e.g., "_ _ _ _ _" for a 5-letter word). The player guesses letters one at a time, and if the letter is in the word, it is revealed in its correct position(s). If the letter is not in the word, a part of the hangman's gallows is drawn. The game ends when the word is fully guessed or the hangman is completed. How to Play: Setup: The game starts by displaying a series of underscores, each representing a letter in the hidden word. A gallows is shown on the side, which will be progressively drawn with each incorrect guess. Gameplay: Players guess one letter at a time by typing it on the keyboard. If the letter is correct, it appears in all its correct positions in the word. If the letter is incorrect, a part of the hangman (e.g., head, body, arms, legs) is drawn. Players continue guessing letters until they either solve the word or the hangman is fully drawn. Winning and Losing: Win: The player guesses all the letters in the word before the hangman is completed. Lose: The hangman is fully drawn before the word is guessed.
