Matrix is a great Tetris variant which in most respects plays the same as the original game, but adds several options and variations, as well as presenting the game in a visually appealing yet still simple way. The basic gameplay is the same: Make lines by fitting falling pieces into the well. There are multiple speeds and handicaps to set, as well as "Scenarios" (which start with the well partially filled). You can record your playing session to watch again later, and you can also save your game and load it to continue at a later time. The controls work fluidly and since it offers many options it's a solid choice to play a game of Tetris!
