Description

Pac-Man (HTML) is a modern browser-based version of the classic arcade game Pac-Man, which can be played directly in a web browser without the need for any plugins or downloads. This version retains the core mechanics of the original game while being optimized for web technology, such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, making it accessible on various devices and operating systems. Objective: The player controls Pac-Man, a yellow circle, in a maze filled with dots that must be eaten. The primary goal is to eat all the dots in the maze while avoiding four colored ghosts. The game progresses as the player clears the maze, moving on to the next level where the difficulty increases, with faster-moving ghosts and more complex mazes. Maze Layout: The maze remains similar to the original arcade version: a series of paths and corridors with dots scattered across them. The power pellets at the four corners of the maze give the player the ability to turn the ghosts blue and eat them for extra points. Ghosts: The four ghosts are: Blinky (Red Ghost): Chases Pac-Man directly. Pinky (Pink Ghost): Tries to predict Pac-Man's movements. Inky (Cyan Ghost): Moves unpredictably. Clyde (Orange Ghost): Moves randomly or follows Pac-Man at times. If Pac-Man is caught by a ghost, he loses a life. The game ends when all lives are lost. Power Pellets: Eating a power pellet temporarily turns the ghosts blue, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for extra points. Once the power pellet effect wears off, the ghosts return to their normal colors and chase Pac-Man again. Fruits: Like the original arcade game, fruits such as cherries, strawberries, and oranges occasionally appear in the maze. Collecting these fruits provides bonus points. Levels and Progression: The game has multiple levels, with the player clearing all the dots and power pellets in the maze to advance to the next stage. As levels increase, the speed of the ghosts becomes faster, and the game becomes more difficult. Lives and Scoring: The player starts with a set number of lives (usually 3) and loses one if caught by a ghost. Scoring is based on the collection of dots, power pellets, and fruit, as well as eating ghosts during the power pellet effect.
